CONCORD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY places the Emphasis on Christ in its:
CCA seeks to enroll families who desire first and foremost that their child obtains a quality education within a Christ centered environment. It is for this reason that CCA endeavors to partner with Christian families who support a Bible believing local church ministry. CCA’s intent is to serve families as they seek to raise their child in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Concord Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, admission policies and other school-administered programs.
Our commitment to education is based on the belief that the truth of the Bible is the basis of all Knowledge. For this reason CCA uses books and teaching materials that are published with this goal in mind. Our teaching material is a combination of ABeka Book, Inc, and BJ Press. Both of these curriculums are Christ centered and have proven to be a blend of academic excellence built upon Biblical truth. Students who have been taught under this program have excelled over those in the public schools. Our goal is that every student in every grade level begin the school day with prayer, patriotic and Christian pledges, and a challenging lesson from God's Word.
A major part in providing a Bible-centered learning environment is the service of teachers and staff who are saved and committed to Christ. CCA employs teachers who view their teaching as a ministry to others and are well-trained in their teaching field. Our staff aims to be role models that exemplify the teachings of Christ and to mentor students to be more like Christ.
Part of any well-balanced educational program includes extracurricular activities. Our Academy is committed to providing activities that exalt the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each year students in first through twelfth grades compete against other Christian schools that are part of the Delaware Association of Christian Schools in the areas of Art, Music, Bible, Speech and Academics. Students in grades seventh through twelfth have various activities available to them. Students are encouraged to be involved in their church's youth program or they are invited to be a part of Concord Baptist Church's youth program which emphasizes evangelism and fellowship with other Christian teenagers centered around Christ-honoring activities. Also available to these students are sports programs in the areas of Boys & Girls Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Girls and Boys Basketball and Boys Baseball.
